A song/poem by me, J.T. for Tommy

Hot damn, T.J.W., the man in charge, SuperBubba, the rock of the family since forever
If mommas the glue, then he’s the duct tape that helps keep it all together

Liberty, Texas born and bred and corn fed
Worked hard his whole life with his hands, his heart and his head
Every day, early to bed and early to rise
Keeps his body toned, hittin’ it hard, there ain’t no compromise

Flying down the freeway, going almost 99
You need him there in a hurry, he’ll get there just fine and on time
Built it all from the grass roots, with him always, the skies the limit
Everyone knows who they can depend on, rest assured he’s the ticket

Like any man he’s not perfect, he’s made his mistakes, and got his stories to tell
Been there done that, he’s drank from life’s bottom shelf well
But make no mistake, he loves his family, yes indeed
Defend it like a momma grizzly bear fightin’ off a steed

I love my father-in-law, strong and fearless, there’s nobody better
Like John Wayne but at a whole nother level; sensitive yet focused on what’s right, to the letter
We had a falling out, much to my dismay
It was all my fault: foolish pride, weakness and fear just simply got in the way

Hot damn, T.J.W., the man in charge, SuperBubba, the rock of the family since forever
If mommas the glue, then he’s the duct tape that helps keep it all together
