Acrylic on canvas 42″ x 52″

My latest artistic creation, “Stratus Spectrus” was  inspired by the great Jazz Fusion musician, Billy Cobham and his song “Stratus” from his debut album, Spectrum, 1973.  Sklar’s heavy bass riff and Cobham’s expert snare drum as a percussive foundation, are interlaced with brilliant guitar and organ offerings to create a heavy, stratified, layered sound….hence the title of my piece.  Like layers of metamorphic rock suspended from above….floating delicately over terra-firma.
