Baby is like a summer breeze to me
As cool and comforting as a summer breeze should be
Making every day in every
way a complete mystery to me. And then she said, “Goodbye”

She is like a warming winter fire
With a smile and a voice just like heaven’s Angel 11 choir
Making my heart burn with pure loving desire
And then she said, “Goodbye”

Too many passions and lovers in our lives, they burn bright and then lose their glow
Just making love and time and then making fleeting tracks in the snow
Soft to the touch and easy to listen to, but so damn hard to hold
They go for a summer stroll and they don’t ever walk back

But not my baby and me
You see, our love is true and was always meant to be
The universe can be hard and full of twists and turns
But for my baby and me, our passion to this day still burns

One day, I know, she will again walk my way
Bringing a cooler day and warmer night in every special way
We will build our life together like an artist paints a canvass and sculptor moulds the clay

And she’ll say hello again and never say goodbye
And I’m yearning for her to never say goodbye
