Towards the sunset’s bright, shimmering bay
Let me ease on down the path, ever so slightly
Make your safe journey be known and may it be done rightly

The day was blessed and full of laughter, tears and mindfulness
A reminder, of life’s dance on the slipperyness
Our conversation flowed, right where we left off before
Her eyes bright and shiny, my true love evermore

The sun in my face and the wind at my back
My pace quickens with each step forward on life’s precarious track
The race is on, the resilient night is fast approaching
All along the way, my body, mind and soul is singing and laughing
