10 haiku on fishing

Written by me, J.T., for you…
Smooth as glass in May
Just dad and me on the boat
No small talk needed
Mighty orca fin
Rising Winter Nordic sail
Piercing ocean deep
Spring dew glistening
Bejewels my bass rod line
Tell me when to pull
Ten years in the sea
Half a day of twists and turns
Not your June brunch yet
Weathered face and soul
Flying the sea’s razor’s edge
The tales he could tell
Mighty blue giant
Rise here now in August dawn
Show me Jonah’s fate
Midnight swim full moon
Minnows nipping at my feet
Just found my Spring bait
Glorious sunrise
Bring forth hungry trout and brim
River feast awaits
Mermaid of the sea
Whisper your delicate charms
Corral perch to me
Oceans of time passed
Since my bait you last nibbled
Let it be this day
