10 Haiku written by me…….inspired by local artist Laura Viada’s “Madrugada” series of beautiful weaving creations.

Dawn’s golden sun rays
Translucent figures of light
Dance in Dusk’s shadow
Layer by layer
Golden thread by golden thread
A life is woven
Faces and spaces
Shape, hone, and temper the soul
A good life well lived
Fine woven linen
Shimmers in the desert sun
Osiris’ robe
At dawn, go within
Breathe the cool air, clear the mind
Of the soul’s dark night
Weaver of tales past
Thread the needle carefully
Transcend space and time
Njord’s funnel torrents
Blow your seas’ fits and rages
They will not harm me!
Clothier of the gods
Fine silk, wool, linen, cotton
He…would be so proud
Sunday’s ritual
One must purge, cleanse, forget, clear
The dust from our minds
Live at once, my dear!
Here today, gone tomorrow
No time for sorrow
